For the month of November 2011, Calgary real estate sales were up year over year while month to month sales remained steady. Compared to November 2010, the number of single family homes sold went up by 7.3% and condo sales increased by 25.0%. Average price for Calgary homes remained unchanged and Calgary condos dropped compared to the previous month and November 2010.
The average price of a single family home in the city of Calgary in November 2011 was $471,900 and condos averaged at $273,360. Number of listings for both homes and condos continued to decrease due to improved sales. At the end of November 2011, there were 4230 single family homes and 1906 condos for sale in Calgary. Condos remained the most affordable as sales soar and price inch lower.
